Hey girls! Spring has finally sprung and it certainly feels like it now. The past few days we’ve had glorious weather so I’ve been soaking up the sunshine. But it also seems like Spring is here on the grid too because a new round of Collabor88 started up yesterday and this round’s theme is ‘Watercolours in bloom’ so if you love your pastels and florals as much as I do, then this round will steal your heart (and your cash too…).
From this round, we have this beautiful hair from Tableau Vivant called Springer. The headband is materials enabled and comes with a great colour change HUD, but if you don’t fancy the headband much then there is a version you can purchase without too! Also my floral eyelashes (that’s how far my floral-addiction has come now) are from Glam Affair at this round and come in a few bright and summery colours to make any outfit look a little more striking! My pretty peach necklace and matching clutch are part of the Maylea collection this round from LaGyo, there is also a matching headpiece to go with these accessories but I decided not to wear it today. Xiaj are guesting this round too and have made some cool sweaters and cardigans for both guys and girls! You can even change the colour of the collar using the HUD full of pretty pastel colours.
I also have a sneaky peek at what’s coming up from The Seasons’ Story on the 12th! Glam affair have made some very spring-y variations of Brandi, which made her debut at the Cutie Moon Fair. She will be available in Europa and Frost tones, 5 makeups, 14 lipstick tattoos, 13 brow colours and 2 nose tattoos! My personal favourite has to be makeup 5 because of the gorgeous dewy, rosy red cheeks, but I’m also tempted by 4 with those adorable freckles!
Meme Instructions: Share a spring-themed picture and/or answer the following questions about the season. Don’t forget to leave a link to your post in the comments and share your picture in the Blog Memes Flickr Group.
- What is the spring season like where you live? – Usually it’s cold and rainy and things don’t start heating up until April/June. But we’ve been lucky this year and have had a lot of lovely hot weather, balanced out by the occasional shower. Which is nice because we Brits aren’t used to relentless heat (remember all that kerfuffle in summer last year?).
- What’s the first thing that pops into your head when you think of spring? – Definitely blossoms. I love it when all the trees you thought were dead and gone over winter suddenly start bursting with gorgeous pink flowers and the petals are all over the road and the cars and blowing in the wind. We have a lovely magnolia tree in our garden that sprouts really big flowers when spring rolls around, but they died off early because we had a little bit of frost last month, so they were only around for a couple days.
- Which spring-themed sim in Second Life is your favorite at the moment? – Right now, my favourite sim is Paradiso because it’s very reminiscent of my all-time favourite sim (which sadly closed down) World’s End Garden with all the roses and flowers and water! And the best part is they’ve just opened up after a spring renewal so there are lots of new things to explore!
