The end of the month is drawing near and that means the closure of old events and the start of brand new ones! The Arcade will be coming to a close at the end of the month so if you still haven’t quenched your thirst for gacha, you’d better do so quickly! The suitcase I’m carrying is actually a shelf for your to display your winnings over at the Mishmish machine, but I thought it was just too cute to resist getting a little creative with it.

My dress is by Mikunch over at Kustom9 and it’s so cute! It comes with a colour change hud and you can choose from 4 different fabrics plus an optional petticoat attachment if you fancy a lacy-trim to your dress! This dress is available in 4 different styles and patterns too, all of which come with the hud!

So you’re going to have a lot of fun mixing and matching your looks!

Anyone as excited for The Arcade as I am? Well you should be! There are some fantastic designers taking part this round as well as some of the regulars. Today I decided to give you all a little sneak peek at what Glam Affair has to offer this coming round (starting March 1st!). The Aria skins will come as 12 common items to win, check out below for what they are, and 8 rare add-on packs. Much like Sylvia from Collabor88, Aria will be fully customisable with the rare packs and base skin! If you’re lucky, you can mix and match the add-on packs to create endless combinations to match any look! Aria comes in brand new tone, Asia too, but don’t worry about running around trying to tint your hands and feet attachments, essential appliers are included in your prize! There’s a new store on the grid by the name of Pixicat! Some of you may or may not know that I co-run a small home for new designers to kickstart their businesses with a couple friends of mine and Pixicat is one of our new start-up stores! She originally started making original mesh content for The Sims games but has since moved over to SL to treat you all to exciting 100% original mesh products! The Prudence dress is available in a bunch of pretty and essential colours, all of which are exquisitely detailed. This store definitely deserves some loving so swing by Nouveaux and check her out!

Both of these dresses are special colours of past Collabor88 items from The secret store and Color.me.HOF! I feel that both of these adorable dresses would make lovely sophisticated Christmas party outfits if you glam it up with some gold accessories and of course an obligatory Jingle Bell headband from Le Poppycock!) The pose I’m showing you above with a little photoshop trickery and a cloning machine (hehe) is the couple pose hunt prize from Kirin I spoke briefly about in my first post. Great for best friends!

The Jingle bell headbands are only 15L$ from Le Poppycock and come in a few different colours. But you can also tint the colours yourself if you need it to match that special party dress this season! Also from Le Poppycock are the lipstick kiss face tattoo and the mistletoe which come together in the set. The mistletoe has a few different poses in it so you can surprise people with a Christmas smooch (not shown) while you’re out and about. And finally the poses above are part of a big fatpack of poses called Wine & Cheese at Le Poppycock and, as you can probably guess, they’re all named after fancy cheeses and posh wines (a few poses make you look like you’ve been on the sherry too!)

Kowloon is having a really awesome Tote bag festival at 6 locations throughout their eerily beautiful sim. I know you’re thinking ‘tote bags? Why would I need more tote bags?’ well here’s why; because they’re all free. There are 50+ tote bags at this event from loads of cool designers and every single one of them is free. Most can be bought for 0L$ and some will be free to win on Luckyboards and Camping chairs! I’m showing off a few of my favourite finds here but there are tons more you can get in a myriad of different designs so while you’re waiting for your letter to come up or just travelling to the next location on the map you can explore this amazing Sim. Despite the derelict and grungey surroundings, Kowloon is extremely detailed and well put together so it’s one of my favourite photo locations whenever I do grunge or city looks.

This gorgeous coat I’m wearing is Xiaj‘s new release for Kustom 9 but Jaix made a little oopsie with the small size of the coat and as a result has decided to make it available for free in the subscribo at his mainstore! The gift coat also comes with the colour change HUD which you would normally have to buy for 99L$ if you bought the other sizes at Kustom 9. Xiaj is a mostly male clothing store but some items like this coat can be worn on  the ladies too so guys, this one’s for you! Of course if you don’t normally fit into a small standard size then you’ll have to buy the coat at Kustom 9 but it’s discounted so you won’t be making too much of a dent in your wallet!

Mon Ami‘s new release made me feel like a fairytale princess with its big poofy skirt and immaculately tied ribbon! The Bouquet dress is available to buy in 5 different colours and all of them perfect for girls who just want to feel like pretty princesses! The textures are lovely on all of the colours and it gives the feel of thick, heavy fabric without being too clunky! I paired it with the Rare Ruby Noella heels from Ingenue at the Arcade to match the pretty red ribbon!

Yesterday I covered the Enchantress set from Buzzeri and mentioned I had a bit of an issue with one of the colours. Well that’s all been fixed now and I’m wearing the Ruby Enchantress lipstick applier for the Loud mouth mesh lips. It’s very glossy and detailed and I just love how it makes my lips look so pretty. The Enchantress packs will be available to buy from Kustom 9 from 15th December!

Hooray! A new round of Collabor88 is open and the theme is Hibernation, so there are lots of cute and dreamy clothing, skins, hair, accessories, homes and decor you can grab! There are a couple more guest designers you might recognise this round as well such as Eaters Coma. So without further delay, I’ll talk you through my little haul!

As always with C88, all the items are priced in integers of 88L$, so some items can be 188L$, 288L$ or even just 88L$! Most of the items in the image were 188L$ or 88L$ so you’ll grab a bargain whatever you’re after! Mishmish’s cute little dreaming sheep come in small versions (for your head) and large versions (to sit on!). It comes with the fences and cloudy backdrop and their little ears even animate! There are a few colours to choose from as well so they make great whimsical home decor items whatever your colour palette!

Fashionably dead has this pretty ruffly dress (left) out as one of their items for this round along with matching coats and scarves to keep you adorably warm. I’m a sucker for ruffly dresses so I couldn’t resist! I did notice a little textural hiccup on the right shoulder by the collar though so make sure you try the demo before you buy. You’re unlikely to see it if you wear a lot of jackets/long hairs but better to be safe than sorry!

Noodles has some really sweet bear earmuffs for only 88L$ each, and you can even purchase a transferable one to gift to a friend this holiday season. Clawtooth and Eaters coma have two versions of the same hairs (with bangs and without) and Clawtooth’s snuggly ribbon’s texture can also be changed!

 

Finally, Birdy has some really cool backpacks out for The Chapter four! You get 2 colours in each pack you buy and all of them are beautifully made and even have resizer options so you can fit it to any avatar you may have! I just love deers and fauns so the little gold deer embellishments really did it for me!

Hooray for versatility!

I find a lot of fashions in SL nowadays aren’t that versatile. And by versatile. Sure you’ll always have jeans but wouldn’t you rather something a little more unique? Well fret no more because U.R has the answer!

Their new release is this awesome wrap, bra and legging combo that comes in 3 colours! Blue/black, red/black, Purple/black, Pink/black and Pink/blue! It’s so versatile that you can wear the mesh wrap over a bikini for a beach look, over jeans for something smart/casual, over shorts for a holiday look or just over the included leggings for an evening/party look!

Naturally I chose the pink/blue combo since I have a thing for pastel colours!
